Karate is the last FIJLKAM combat block at PalaWojtyla. Wrestling first. Then judo. Karate takes the hall on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 September. Two concentrated kumite days. Karate sits at the end of the combat programme in this hall, on the last two full competition days before the Games close on 3 September.
Tuesday, 1 September, 09:00 CEST. PalaWojtyla, Martina Franca. Women −50 kg and women −55 kg, qualifications and repechage, through 11:00. Then men −60 kg and men −67 kg, 11:00–13:00. First finals at 13:00.
Kumite only. No kata. Ten events. One athlete per NOC per weight category. Direct elimination and repechage.
Ten weight categories
The programme is kumite. Ten events. Five for women, five for men. Maximum ten athletes per NOC: five women, five men.
Women: −50 kg, −55 kg, −61 kg, −68 kg, +68 kg.
Men: −60 kg, −67 kg, −75 kg, −84 kg, +84 kg.
One athlete per NOC per weight category. Direct elimination and repechage. That is the format, locked on the WKF event page, the bulletin and FINAL2.
Two competition tatamis carry the paired morning windows. Women −50 kg and women −55 kg share 09:00–11:00. Men −60 kg and men −67 kg share 11:00–13:00. The bulletin lists the windows. It does not list a draw.

PalaWojtyla
Wojtyla Sport Hall. PalaWojtyla. Martina Franca, zona Pergolo. Indoor, about 2,000 spectators. Judo and wrestling share the hall. Karate is the last of that combat block.
Two competition tatamis, 12×12 m. Three warm-up tatamis. That is the WKF bulletin and FINAL2. Not a third figure.
The hall was handed over in mid-August. Wrestling first. Then judo. Karate takes the two days left before 3 September.
Planned training window, bulletin and FINAL2: Pacinotti School Sport Hall, Taranto, 29–31 August, 08:00–20:00. Competition days at Wojtyla. That is the window. Not a roll call.

FIJLKAM named ten azzurri on 27 August. Same ten weight categories. Coaches Gennaro Talarico, Andrea Torre, Luca Valdesi.

France published a full ten on 4 August. FFKDA and Équipe France. No later withdrawal found.
