YouTube API Services
Karate.news and its internal publishing tool, Soonpix Companion, use YouTube API Services to publish our own videos to our own YouTube channel (Karate News) and to organise them into playlists. By using our website or watching videos embedded on it, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What we access. Soonpix Companion authenticates with Google OAuth 2.0 using our own Google account only. It does not access, collect or store any data about other YouTube users, channels or viewers.
What we store. For each video we publish, we store the YouTube video ID, playlist ID, publication date and status in our own database, alongside the competition metadata (event, category, athletes) we produced ourselves. We do not store any YouTube user data.
Embedded videos. Pages of Karate.news embed videos using YouTube's standard player. When you play an embedded video, YouTube may set cookies and collect data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive personal data from the player.
Revoking access. You can revoke Soonpix Companion's access to a Google account at any time from the Google security settings page. Revocation takes effect immediately; any stored authorisation token is discarded on next use.
