Olympics.com will broadcast from the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, USA. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Sports Content Center will broadcast competitions from 34 sports (58 disciplines) from 7 to 17 July 2022. All highlights from the multi-sport event organized by the International World Games Association (IWGA) will be available worldwide on a permanent 24/7 channel and up to eight parallel live streams.
The deal with Olympic Channel Services (OCS) will see a full digital offering to broadcast live action from the 2022 World Games. This will be the second time the Games have been broadcast on the platform, following its success in 2017.
This service is also available in the United States. Live streaming of the World Games will be integrated into the IWGA website theworldgames.org and host city TWG2022.com. Users of the TWG 2022 app also have the option to watch the stream on their mobile device. However, there are restrictions for the countries where the TV channels have acquired the rights to TWG 2022. Here, a so-called geo-blocking prevents transmission via the Internet.
